Woman’s Club presents check to libraries

WOW! The Woman’s Club has been busy beavers. Lots of activities these past few weeks. We had our  fun trip to see the play “The Musical – 9 to 5 on Sunday, October 23, 2022. All enjoyed the play and the fellowship afterwards at Sonny’s Barbecue was wonderful. (See picture to follow)

We had a fantastic yard sale! There were many  interesting items and of course lots of nice clothes. Items not sold were donated to the Panhandle Pioneer Settlement. In January 2023, we will start saving up for our annual yard sale November 2023 and will be looking for donations. We thank everyone for dropping by to help us and to visit.

At our November 2022 meeting, the Woman’s Club invited Wendy Eubanks, Director of the Calhoun County Public Libraries to be our guest speaker. Wendy spoke about all the wonderful programs the libraries have to offer both children and adults. There is a wide array of programs, some may surprise you, and various uses that are available in our libraries. Please stop by and visit with a branch near you. Libraries operate with a budget along with Grants and donations. Our President, Sandy Voss, presented a check to Wendy Eubanks to help the Calhoun County Public Libraries with their programs.  Our thanks to Wendy for her dedication to the libraries and our community.

If you are someone who is a hard worker, enjoy the rewards from hard work, want to help the community and have fun along the way, please contact our President, Sandy Voss at 850-272-8980.

As always, we look forward to seeing you, at one of our events.
