Courtney Elizabeth Register, 29, was fortunate to escape with only a cut after falling asleep at the wheel and crashing at the intersection of SR 71 and Gaskin Street Sunday morning. According to the BPD, the wreck occurred just after 7 a.m. Register’s SUV ran off the road, striking several trees. It took rescue workers two and a half hours to pull her from the wreckage.
