Vona Whitfield Barfield Parrish

Vona Whitfield Barfield Parrish, 89, of Sneads, passed away Sunday, March 28, 2010, in Sneads. She was a retired nurse and was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by two sons, Hayes and Douglas Barfield, and a daughter, Patsy Ann Morris.Survivors include three daughters, Diane Brandhuber and her husband, Harold, of Jacksonville, Florida, Nell Messinger of Orlando, Florida, and Tammy Farris and her husband, Ronald, of Sneads; 14 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 31, with Reverend Jack Howell officiating. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service.
