On 07/12/2022 a traffic stop was conducted by Investigator Norris on Charlie Woods Rd. in Blountstown. Prior to stopping the vehicle, Investigator Norris observed the driver to be Benjamin McDaniel and front seat passenger Angela Nickel. Investigator Norris had prior knowledge that Mickel had active warrants out of Calhoun County. Once the vehicle was stopped, Mickel was taken into custody without incident with assistance from Deputy Logan Durden. While Mickel was being taken into custody, Investigator Norris detected an odor of Marijuana emitting from the interior of McDaniel’s vehicle. When McDaniels was questioned about the odor, he admitted to having Marijuana in the vehicle.
A vehicle search was then conducted, resulting in locating marijuana, a glass smoking pipe that tested positive for the presence of Methamphetamine, and a set of digital scales.
Two clear plastic baggies containing approx. 5 grams of Synthetic marijuana were located in Mickels’s purse.
Both Benjamin McDaniel and Angela Mickel were taken into custody and charged with the following violations:

F.S.S 893.147 Possession of Drug paraphernalia (2) counts
F.S.S 948.06 Violation of State Probation
Angela Mickel with the following violations:
F.S.S 893.13 Possession of Synthetic Marijuana
F.S.S 948.06 Violation of State Probation
