At left, Blountstown Tiger lineman Jamez Jones was searching for something cool at practice last week. The practice fields were mud after a big rain and the heat and humidity were awful. That didn’t stop the Tigers from working out in full pads.
This Friday night the Tigers travel to face the Ft.
Walton Beach Vikings in a Kickoff Classic. Here’s what Head Coach Brad Waggoner had to say about the Classic.
“The Tigers go on the road to take on Class 4A Fort Walton Beach in the 2025 Kick-Off Classic. This will be a good test to see where we are right now and to get us ready to open up the 2025 season next week on the road vs.
Liberty County. This Kick-Off Classic will allow our varsity and JV guys to get reps and the format will not call for any live special teams. What I am looking for in our team is to take what we have been doing all Summer and apply it against another opponent. It’s our one and only tune up to get ready for the season. Come out and support these Tigers this Friday night at Fort Walton Beach. Game will begin at 6:00 pm cst. Go Tigers!”
