The 2009 football season is underway. The Tigers travel to Freeport to take on the Bulldogs in a Kick Off Classic this Friday at 7:00. The Tigers have been working extremely hard in preparation of the upcoming season. This contest will be a good judge of how much the team has progressed since the spring game. The team suffered a set back during last Tuesday’s practice as two starters were injured. Darren Huff and Patrick Wilson both suffered knee injuries and have both had MRI’s done. The extent of those injuries are not known at this time. Hopefully, some good news will come of those situations. It’s a busy time as school kicks off. The community pep rally, the opening of the season and the Future Tigers Camp all take place the first two weeks of school. The Future Tigers Camp will take place on Saturday, Sept. 5th, at Bowles Field. You can register from 8-9 A.M. the morning of the camp or register early by calling or dropping by the high school. The camp will run from 9-11:30 and will be conducted by present and former BHS players and current coaches.Season football tickets are on sale in the front office at the High school. There are five home football games this season. The cost of reserved seats will be $6 each for a $30 total. Our first home game of the year will be week one vs Sneads at 7:00 at Bowles Field. The Century Club is making a push for 2009 members. Please support the Century Club and season ticket sales as the season kicks off. Hope to see you in Freeport!! Go TIGERS!!!!
