It was late getting home for Tiger fans last Friday night, but none were complaining. The Blountstown Tigers battled leg cramps and injuries and with a never quit attitude, and a little luck, punched in the game winning touchdown in triple overtime to defeat Rutherford, 27-21.
The game was back and forth in the first half and tied at 21-21 for much of the second half. The Tigers used a strong rushing attack for 209 yards and a stingy defense to stop the Rams on several fourth down tries.
The Tigers have an open date this week and will travel to Port St. Joe to battle the Sharks.
