from Blountstown Head Football Coach
Brad Waggoner
We have had a good Summer so far. We have a lot of returning players from last years team which helps but obviously every year is different. On defense we return the majority back led by our senior LB who was teams leading tackler a year ago, Aaden Williams.
In the secondary we return 4 Star Safety Junior Cyion Smith to lead our group back there. Up front we return all our defensive starters from a year ago in juniors Ty Walker, Zaven Baker, Jordan Baker and Omarion Dawson and we have added another defensive lineman to this group in Senior Darius Cherry who is new to our program.
On Offense, we return two of our big time play makers in 3 Star senior RB Kayin Martin who is committed to Troy and 3 Star senior ATH Curt Ellis who is committed to UCONN.
Up front on the Line of Scrimmage we return 3 of the 5 starters from Last year led by Senior OL Trace Hathaway who is at center. We got a couple of new faces on offense who we look to be big time contributors this fall in Junior 6’4 WR Jaden Fountain and Junior ATH Braxton Seyrce.
I look forward to seeing this team improve over the course of the season. We got some tough teams on the schedule throughout the year that will be very challenging. Kickoff at Mosley 7:00. Varsity first half, JV 2nd.
