Tiger Baseball is on winning streak

The Blountstown Tiger Baseball team has reeled off three straight wins over Rutherford, Wakulla Christian, and Bainbridge (Ga.) with good pitching and timely hitting.
Tristan King is leading the Tigers at the plate with a .417 average followed by Andrae Williams at .400 and Cayson Evans at .375.  King, Isaac Roberts and Evans each have 5 RBI’s.  Braylon Strickland, Evans, Bradyn Crossland and Deante Reed have each hit homruns.
On the mound for the Tigers, Josh Pope has pitched 10 innings with 11 strike outs.  Braylon Strickland has pitched 8 innings this season with 17 K’s and a 1.75 ERA.  Tristan King has thrown 5.1 innings and has a 2.1 ERA.  Andrae Williams has 8 k’s and hasn’t allowed a run.  
BHS 10, RUTHERFORD 5
Against Rutherford in Panama City last Tuesday, the Tigers jumped on top early with one run in the first and one in the second.  Rutherford responded with two runs in the fourth to tie the game.  The Tigers had a big fifth inning scoring four, added a single run in the sixth and three in the seventh.  Rutherford added one in the fifth and two in the seventh for the final, and Tiger win, 10-5.
Reed was 2-4 at the plate while Evans, King, Strickland, Pope, Roberts, and Bryson Fleck each had one hit. The Tigers left 10 runners on base.  
Williams went four innings on the mound with six K’s and three BB’s. Roberts  and King came on in relief in the final two innings.  Rutherford was held to four hits in the game.
BHS 7, WAKULLA CHRISTIAN 4
The Tigers travelled to Wakulla Christian on Thursday night and came away with 7-4 victory.  The Tigers scored four runs in the third and added three in the fourth to take the lead after WC had scored two in their first at bat.
Andrae Williams went four for four at the plate while King, Roberts and Reed collected two hits each.  Pope, Fleck, Evans, Crossland, and Kent each added one hit.  Reed and Crossland each had HR’s.
Strickland gave the Tigers four good innings on the mound giving up three hits, striking out eight and walking four.  Roberts and King pitched the final two innings.  The Tigers had 14 hits while WC had 6.
BHS 7, BAINBRIDGE (GA.) 5
The Tigers had a commanding 5-1 lead going into the seventh inning against the Bearcats only to see the game 5-5 after ‘Cats put 4 on the scoreboard to tie it.With a runner on base in the bottom of the seventh, Cayson Evans blasted a HR for a walk-off Tiger victory.  Evans was 3 for 4 with 4 RBI’s in the game.  Braylon Strickland was 2 for 3 with 2 RBI’s.  King, Roberts, Fleck, and Crossland added hits for the Tigers.
Josh Pope went 6.2 inning for the Tigers striking out 8, walking 3 and giving up 2 earned runs. Tristan King came in to record the final out.  Both teams had 9 hits.
