Shelton’s Corner crash sends two to hospital

Two Calhoun County residents were injured in a head-on collision Monday afternoon in Shelton’s Corner. According to FHP Trooper Wes Harsey who investigated the crash, Ray Weidner, 68, of Blountstown was behind the wheel of a 1979 Toyota Landcruiser headed southbound on SR 73.As he prepared to turn left into the parking lot of Alday Automotive, Kristy Michelle Page, 39, of Altha, was headed northbound in a 2006 Hyundai. Weidner traveled into the path of Page’s vehicle, resulting in the accident. Both were treated and released from Calhoun-Liberty Hospital. Weidner was cited for failure to yield.
