Remembering September 11th

Those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001, were remembered Friday around the nation. Here in Calhoun County, Blountstown Fire Chief Ben Hall had some help from his little girl, Anna Jo, as he raised the flag in Magnolia Square and placed it at half-staff. They are pictured at saluting the raised flag in a moment of remembrance, along with Blountstown Police Chief Glenn Kimbrel and officers Darryl Temple, Warren Tanner, and Fred Tanner. The Calhoun County Courthouse hosted a remembrance ceremony at lunch. County employees were joined by American Legion, VFW, and AM Vets.
