Raid Ends In Drug Arrest

A search warrant was served on the Tupelo Road home of Lamar Lashon Peterson, 34, Friday night, leading to his arrest. The Blountstown man has been charged with possession of both cocaine and marijuana with intent to sell, along with possession of drug paraphernalia.According to the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office, a search team with officers from the CCSO, BPD, LCSO, DOT, FHP, and State Attorney’s Office, discovered a plastic bag of 127 grams of marijuana, two seven gram bags of the drug, a crack cocaine cookie and 11 bags of powder cocaine, along with a set of scales. Peterson reportedly stated he got into the drug business due to hard financial times.
