Public Hearing will discuss plans for Trammell Bridge

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will hold a hybrid public hearing concerning the S.R. 20 Apalachicola River Bridge (Westbound Old Trammell Bridge) PD&E Study in Calhoun and Liberty counties. This hearing is being held both virtually and in-person on Tuesday, September 26, 2023. The open house will begin at 5:30 p.m. (CDT) followed by a formal presentation and comment period at 6 p.m. (CDT). The in-person hearing will be held at W.T. Neal Civic Center, 17773 NE Pear Street, Blountstown.

This hearing is being held to provide interested persons an opportunity to review the results of the study and to provide input on the preferred alternative. The intent of this study is to evaluate multiple alternatives relative to the future of the Westbound Old Trammell Bridge and how these alternatives will impact motor vehicle and navigation activities along the project area, as well as identify how the bridge provides service to the local community area. 
Maps, drawings, and other related project information is available for review online beginning 12 p.m. (CDT), Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at www.nwflroads.com/virtualmeetings and on-location from Tuesday, August 29, 2023, through Friday, October 6, 2023, at the Blountstown Public Library, located at 17731 NE Pear Street, Blountstown, Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (CDT), Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. (CDT), and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. (CDT), or the Harrell Memorial Public Library located at 13016 NW County Road 12, Bristol, Tuesday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. (EDT), and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. (EDT). Project materials will also be available at the in-person hearing location. The materials may also be viewed by contacting the FDOT Project Manager.
All comments provided, or postmarked, on or before Friday, October 6, 2023, will become part of the official record.
