Mr. Houston Lee Lolley, 82, of Blountstown, FL, passed away Thursday, August 4, 2011, in Panama City, FL. Houston was born on February 20, 1929 in Esto, FL, and had lived in Blountstown for past nine years, coming from Liberty County. Houston worked at Reichhold Chemical Company in Telogia for several years and retired from Higdon Grocery in Quincy, FL. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving in the United States Army. Houston was a member of the Glory Hill Community Church in Altha. He was preceded in death by a son, John Benjamin Lolley. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Lolley, of Blountstown; four sons, Greg Johnson of Hosford, FL, Samuel Lolley of Roanoke, VA, Houston Lolley, Jr. and James Lolley, both of Bristol, FL; two daughters, Jeanette Embry of Hosford and Donna Kroft of Bristol; one brother, Johnny Lolley, of Hosford; one sister, Ruth Moore, of Blountstown; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Sunday, August 7, at 5 pm (CDT) from the graveside at Magnolia Cemetery near Altha with Reverend Riley Adams officiating. Interment followed. All arrangements were under the direction of Marlon Peavy at Peavy Funeral Home in Blountstown (ph. 674-2266).
