OBITUARY – Johnson

Lucille W. Johnson, 100, of Bristol, passed away Saturday, November 12, 2011, in Hosford. She was born in Bristol January 2, 1911, to the late James “Jim” and Mary Elizabeth (Smith) White. She was retired as secretary at the Florida Department of Highway Safety. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Bristol where she served as pianist. She was also a member of Blountstown Order of Eastern Star and Disabled American Veterans in Marianna. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Leo White, Clyde White, Lora White and Elmer White; her sisters, Laura Story and Wynona Revell; and a great-granddaughter, Tania Potter. She is survived by her son, James Edison “Jimmy” Johnson, and his wife, Martha, of Bristol, a daughter, Chiquita Sanders Rudd, of Hosford; six grandchildren, Sharon Crews, Karen Sanders, Joan Johnson Wright, John T. Sanders, James Bo Sanders, and Jim Johnson; 11 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; and one great- great- great- grandchild. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. ET, Tuesday, November 15, at Bristol United Methodist Church with Reverend John Jackson, Reverend Rick Stewart, and Reverend Coy Collins officiating.
