
BETTY LOIS NEWSOME
Mrs. Betty Lois Newsome, age 83, of Kinard, FL passed away Friday, July 21, 2023 in Youngstown, FL. Betty was born on June 9, 1940 in Blountstown, FL to John Monroe Arrant and Senella (Jones) Arrant and had lived in Calhoun County most of her life. She worked at the Calhoun County Senior Citizens and worked as a Pole worker for a number of years. Betty enjoyed feeding and watching the birds, gardening, watching Soap Operas. She truly loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, John Monroe Arrant and Senella (Jones) Arrant, husband, Cecil Newsome.
Survivors include, one son, John Keith (J.K.) Newsome and companion, Wendy Flowers of Kinard FL, one daughter, Sandy Griffin and her husband, Joe, of Youngstown, FL; five grandchildren, Ashley Wood and her husband, Zhon, Kyle Griffin and his wife, Danielle, Jacob Newsome and his wife, Betsie, Zachery Newsome and his wife, Jessie and Wesley Newsome and his wife, Leigh; 14 great-grandchildren, Tristan, Khole, Elijah, JoJo, Jonathan (J.P.), Audrey, Lucas, Julia Mae, John Charles (JC), Jonas, Quinn, Branson, Scarlett, Blaine and Josie Pearl.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at 11:00 am (CDT) at Peavy Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 10:30 am (CDT) until 11:00 am (CDT) at Peavy funeral Home Chapel. The service will conclude at the funeral home. Anyone wishing can follow the Hearse to the cemetery, no services will be held at the cemetery. Interment will be at Pine Memorial Cemetery in Blountstown, FL.

REESA REVELL
Reesa Revell, 76 of Blountstown, passed away July 14, 2023, at her home. Reesa was born September 19, 1946, in Quincy, Florida to the late Reese and Helen Revell and was an administrative assistant for Bristol First Baptist Church for many years.
Reesa was preceded in death by her brothers James and Larry Revell and leaves behind her daughters, Sarah Creeley and her husband Kristopher and Helen Crimmins and a grandson, Jeremy Crimmins.

PHILLIP WAYNE JOHNSON
Phillip Wayne Johnson, 67 of Blountstown, passed away Sunday, July 23, 2023, enjoying what he loved, spending time on his houseboat with family. Phillip was born January 21, 1956, in Port St. Joe, Florida to the late Mallie and Melba Johnson. He was a welder and fabricator for CW Roberts for many years and was an avid outdoorsman. Phillip was preceded in death by his brothers, Don and Bobby Johnson and his sisters, Jackie Attaway and Cathy Hatcher.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda Curlee Johnson; his sons, Richard Stephen Johnson and his wife Ashley and Eric Wayne Johnson and his wife Jackie; his brother and sister, Ricky Johnson and Carol Kerr and his grandchildren, Tayler and Jameson Johnson.
No services are planned at his time. Memorialization will be by cremation.

MELISSA JEAN HARRIS
Melissa Jean Harris age 44 passed away July 6th 2023 in Sanford Florida. She was born in Orlando Florida on August 13th 1978. She grew up in Franklin county. She was of the Baptist faith she loved God and she was the best daughter sister mother and friend anyone could ask for. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Harry and Sally Chesnutt and Ruth Harris. Also her sister Heather Lee Harris. She loved crafting and sewing and taking pictures of beautiful flowers.
She left behind her children Noah and Asher Martin and Grandchildren Amelia and Alexander Martin, Also children Serena, and Kieran Warren. Her parents William Harris and wife Trish of Sanford Florida and her mother Esther (Jeanie) Chesnutt Barfield and husband Cleve Barfield. Her brothers Michael Fox, Sam and George Harris, and David and wife Cally
