DAVID EUGENE BRYANT

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of David Eugene Bryant, who passed away on Thursday, February 9, 2023. David was born on November 11, 1963 in Blountstown, Florida and was a proud graduate of Blountstown High School.

David was the son of Billy “Buck” Bryant and Nell Bryant and was the brother of Billie Joe, Eric, and Karen Ann. He was also a devoted father to his children, Trevor and Kimberly, and cherished his role as a grandfather to his grandchildren, Bryer and Thornlynn.

David was known for his love for sports, especially NASCAR, hunting, and fishing. He was also known for his quick wit, kind heart, and infectious smile, and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

The celebration of David’s life was held graveside at Pine Memorial Cemetery in Blountstown, FL on Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at 2:00 PM Central Time.

VERA JEAN (ARNOLD) FINUFF

Saying goodbye to someone you love and cherish is always difficult.  It is with a heavy heart that we announce on Saturday, February 4, 2023, Vera Jean (Arnold) Finuff, devoted partner and mother of four, passed away at the age of 88.

With family members present, Vera passed away peacefully of heart failure.  Vera leaves behind her husband Ed of 68 years, and her three children, Charlotte Wheeler (Bill), Helen Whitehead (Roger) and her son Nicky Finuff.  Vera has 12 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.  Her siblings are Betty Miles of Bristol, LB Arnold of Telogia, Elry Stanley of Hosford and Rodia Sharpton of Havana.

She is preceded in death by her father and mother Bunk and Leta Arnold, brothers Earl and Jerry Arnold, sister Joyce (Arnold) Pugh and her son Chadwick Carl Finuff.

Vera was a loving, caring person, with a very kind heart, a devoted wife, mother and friend, always thinking of others.  She had a smile for everyone and an appreciation of simple pleasures of life.  “To know her was to love her.”

Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

A graveside memorial will be scheduled at the Finuff Family Cemetery on Old Blue Creek Road with Pastor Author Wood officiating.

CHARLES DAVID KYLE

Charles David Kyle, age 54, passed away peacefully in his home on February 17, 2023, after a battle with cancer. He was born on July 25,1968 in Tallahassee, FL. David was a well-known lifelong entrepreneur in the Timber, Excavating, and Recycling Industry. He loved being outdoors, drag racing, heavy equipment, hunting, fishing, old cars, and was known for finding a diamond in the rough when no one else could. He was dedicated to providing for his family and lived his life through simple pleasures. David was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his daughter, Cheyanne Kyle of Bristol and his son, Trey Lincoln and wife, Heather and their child Lennon of Bristol, as well as his two sisters and two brothers. He had many nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

The celebration of David’s life will be held graveside at Magnolia Baptist Church in Altha, FL on Sunday, February 26, 2023, at 1:00 PM Central Time. A fellowship with covered dishes and a slide show of memories will follow, so please bring your favorite dish and favorite memory of David.  

The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to one of his close friends Kyle Howell, who is battling cancer himself. The fund is set up at the Calhoun/Liberty Credit Union in Blountstown, FL and there will be a donation box at the fellowship hall following the memorial.

ADRIANA MORALES

Adriana Morales, 25 of Blountstown, passed away Friday, February 10, 2023, in Panama City. Adriana was born April, 5, 1997 to Hector and Andrea Morales in Panama City and was lovingly known as Nana Girl by her family. Nana Girl was like a beautiful butterfly. A free spirit pollinating everyone with love everywhere she went. She loved fiercely with no boundary or limitation that could stop her when it came to her loving and taking care of her family. She was stood out as the flower child, hippy, artist and fashion icon. She loved being with friends and family and will be missed by all. 

Survivors include her sons, Gatsby and Mateo Causey, her Husband Austin Causey; her parents, Hector and Andrea Morales, her brothers and sisters, Ridley and Asher Black, Reyna McGill and her husband Rhett, Melyna Morales, Cierra Morales, Alyana Morales, Lili Morales and Azalyn Harmon; her grandparents, Maria Morales and Vickey and Jerry Harmon; her great grandmother, Faye Harmon; a nephew, Cypress McGill; Angie Bracewell Bunkley that she counted as her second mom and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Services to honor and to celebrate Adriana’s life were held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 19, 2022, at Blountstown Church of God in Blountstown with Reverend Donnie Folks officiating. Interment followed in Pine Memorial Cemetery.

DAVID G. QUELLET

David G. Quellet, age 56, passed away Saturday February 11, 2023, unexpectedly and peacefully at his home. Dave was born October 13, 1966, in Saginaw, MI and lived in Blountstown, FL. Dave was the son of Gerald L. Quellet and Maureen Doepker Quellet of Frankenmuth, MI. Dave was a proud veteran and served his country in the Navy from 1986-1990 and in the Army from 1990-1997. He then went on to be an over the road truck driver, having the privilege of traveling to 48 of our 50 states. Dave was also a proud former correctional officer with the Florida Department of Corrections. Dave never met a stranger and not surprisingly his CB handle was “Talk about it”. He left a mark on your heart every time he talked to you. Let’s not forget the stand-up comedian that came out daily, with a side of connoisseur for food and great recipes. He loved his family, country, guns, and old cars, and was a devout Christian and Patriot. 

Dave is survived by his loving wife Nicole Summers Quellet of Port St Joe, FL; son Kyle Quellet and wife Emily of Blountstown, FL; daughter, Kayla Quellet and Fiancé Kevin of Blountstown, FL; grandchildren who thought he hung the moon, Kyler, Kinsley, Reighlynn, Kennedy, Lyla, Aria, Aubriella, Adrien, Ashden, Abreona, and AJ; sister, Linda Quellet Bronner and Husband Steve of Frankenmuth, MI; brother Tom Quellet and wife Heidi of Holland, MI; nieces, Stephanie, Lindsay, and Sydney; nephews, Ryan and Josh; great nieces and nephews; 2 brothers-in-law, Herschel Bobbitt of Weatherford, TX and Justin Summers of Port St Joe, FL.

Dave was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Debie, and nephew Heath. 

The celebration of life service was held at Scotts Ferry Landing Lodge with Leann Coulter officiating on February 19, 2023 from 2:00-4:00 PM. A fellowship with covered dishes  followed.
