
WILLIAM BEDFORD LIVINGSTON
William Bedford Livingston of Altha, FL, died at 10:00 PM Thursday January 27, 2023, at Southeast Hospital in Dothan, AL. He was born on November 12, 1935, to Rollin Thomas and Mary Lessie Wright Livingston in Marianna, FL, the 7th child, and youngest son. Bill was employed by the Quincy Wire and Tallahassee International Airport. He spent his youth in Altha and attended Altha schools. After many years in the Quincy-Tallahassee area he married Frances Wheatley and returned to Altha, where enjoyed his tractor, pecan trees, and daily trips to see the river he loved. Bill joined the First United Methodist Church of Altha and was known as a loving kind man to everyone he met. He never met anyone he could not hold a conversation with and was never too busy to lend a helping hand. He loved his family and his little animals, of which he always had one at his side. Preceding him in death were his 3 wives, Helen Strickland Livingston, Gloria Ford Stoutamire Livingston, and Frances Ayers Wheatley Livingston, his parents, brothers, Lenard and Lorin Livingston, sisters, Tommy Ruth Brooks, Lenore Wade, and Wynell Blackman.
Bill is survived by his brother, Rollin Junior Livingston and will be missed by his friends and longtime companion Amy Kennedy, who cared for him many years.
Funeral service were held Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at 11:00 AM (CST) and with Police Chief Jimmy Baggett officiating. Interment followed at Chipola Cemetery in Altha, FL.
