Obituaries – August 3rd 2022


Billy Joe Lynn, age 41, of Altha, FL passed way Wednesday, July 27, 2022 in Altha, FL. He was born on March 29, 1981 to Wayne Lynn and Betty (Cole) Lynn and had lived in Altha all of his life. Billy Joe loved all sports, fishing and hunting, most of all he truly loved his family. He was preceded in death by his father, Wayne Lynn and sister, Dianne Bramblett.

Survivors include, mother, Betty (Cole) Lynn of Altha, FL;  two daughters, Emily Lynn of Altha, FL, Melanie Lynn of Altha, FL; three brothers, David Lynn and wife Heather of Altha, FL, Michael Lynn of Altha, FL, James Lynn of Altha, FL; one sister, Sandra Capps and husband Chad of Bristol.

Funeral services were held Friday, July 29, 2022 at 3:00 pm (CDT) at Peavy Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Dwayne Tolbert officiating. Interment followed in Edenfield Cemetery in Altha. The family received friends Friday, July 29, 2022 from 2:00 pm (CDT) until service time at 3:00 pm (CDT) at Peavy Funeral Home Chapel. 

All arrangements were under the direction of Marlon Peavy at Peavy Funeral Home in Blountstown, FL. 850-674-2266.


Kenneth P. Creamer, 82 of Altha, passed away Monday, July 25, 2022, at this home. Kenneth was born in Altha to the late Marion and Mary Creamer and was a logger for many years until his retirement. He later enjoyed working around the farm.

Other than his parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by his son, Kenneth Creamer, Jr. and his brother Glenn Creamer.

Survivors include his wife Elizabeth Creamer of Altha; his brothers, Carl Creamer of Eulee, Broward Creamer of Jacksonville and Howard Creamer of Marianna; his grandchildren, Tamara, Bonnie, Crystal and Amber; his stepchildren, Pamela Silcox, Pete Johnson and Shane Johnson and many nieces, nephews and other extended family.

Memorialization will be by cremation.

Margaret Atkins Baker, 73, of Blountstown, Florida departed this life Wednesday, July 27, 2022.  Born in Bainbridge, Georgia, she resided in Blountstown and was a member of Prayer Chainers Church of God.  Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. et, August 6, 2022 at Rockyville Cemetery, Bristol, Fl.  Viewing will be from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m., August 5, 2022 at Bradwell Mortuary, Quincy, Fl.

Surviving family includes her daughter, Charlene Clark, Blountstown, son,  Reginald Cobb, Blountstown and sister, Barbara Atkins, Bristol, Fl.

Peggy Lynne Peddie, 67 of Kinard, Florida went home to the Lord on Friday, July 29, 2022.  

She was born in Brooksville, FL on November 17, 1954 to Jack Rush and the late Annie Lena Rush.   She was preceded in death by her mother and a grandson, Taylor Graham Tillman.  

She is survived by her husband of 22 years, James Peddie; father, Jack Rush; two stepdaughters, Ginger Peddie Tillman (Dan) and Susan Peddie Tillman; two grandchildren, Tylher Tillman (Tanner) and Gage Aaron Fenner; one sister, Laura Webber; one brother, Jack Russ Jr. (Stephanie); five nieces, Lena Leverett (Lamont), Jamie Lambert (Art), Lily Rush, Robin Short, Christie Smith; and one nephew, Brett Powers. 

Peggy served the Lord through street and prison ministry for eighteen years.  She received her Minister’s license through International Pentecostal Holiness.  Her last word for each of us is from Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart.  

A Celebration of Life service will be held at New Harvest Fellowship Church in Wewahitchka on Saturday, August 6, 2022 at 10:00 am CST.  

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
