NEWS ALERT – Update on Crash

More details are now available on a crash that occurred Wednesday afternoon in Clarksville. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Jesse C. McCroan, 20, of Port St. Joe, was behind the wheel of a 2004 Ford pickup traveling east on SR 20 around 1:30 p.m. McCroan reportedly attempted to pass another eastbound vehicle on the left and entered the shoulder of the road. McCroan steered right, overcorrected and collided with a ditch embankment near the Juniper Creek Wildlife Management Area. The truck went airborne and overturned, ejecting passenger Phillip J. McCroan, 24, of Port St. Joe. He was not wearing a seatbelt. Both the driver and passenger, who sources say are brothers, were transported to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital in serious condition.The accident is being investigated by Trooper K. McNabb.
