A group of Calhoun County SWAT (Students Working Against Tobacco) members had a colorful spring break. They took some time out of their vacation to paint this mural along the Blountstown Greenway behind the M & B Train Depot Museum. The Calhoun County Board of Commissioners recently signed a proclamation designating Mar. 28-Apr. 2 as Tobacco Free Florida Week for Calhoun County. The mural, sponsored by the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office and funded with a Calhoun County Tobacco Prevention Coalition grant, was a way to celebrate the special week. Artists Jeff Vickery and Jonathon Alford were brought on board and the project took off. Featuring an anti-tobacco message, the mural will tie-in with the Blountstown Middle School art show at the depot in April.Pictured are SWAT artists (from left) Logan Weiler, Gretchen Williams, Jordan Norris, Amanda Long, Shantel Barrett, Jesse Langley, Jahnice Jones, Vance Williams, and Monazia Smith. Tony Shoemake and Pam McDaniel coordinated the project
