Mortimer Nicholas (Nick) Boris

Mr. Mortimer Nicholas (Nick) Boris, age 65, of Blountstown, FL passed away Monday night, May 10, 2010, at his home in Blountstown. Nick was born on January 10, 1945, in Lakeland, FL, and had lived in Blountstown since 1980, coming from Tallahassee, FL. Nick, along with his wife Lillie, were owners and operators of N&L Machine Shop in Blountstown for over 20 years. He served in the United States Navy and was of the Pentecostal Faith.Survivors include his wife, Lillie Boris, of Blountstown, FL; two daughters, Theresa Tharpe and her husband, Ricky, of Bristol, FL, Lisa Godwin and her husband, John, of Blountstown, FL; two brothers, Sam Boris and his wife, Dana, of Pahokee, FL; George Boris of Valdosta, GA; one sister, Dianna Strickland and her husband, Jerden, of West Palm Beach, FL; four grandchildren, Jimmy McClellan, Melissa Hood and Joey, Angie McClellan and Namun McClellan; five great grandchildren, Lillian Boris, Alicia Ethridge, Alex Phillips, Emily Hood and Joanna Hood.Funeral services were held Friday, May 14, at 3 pm (CDT) at Peavy Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Ron Baker, Reverend Clarence Gray, Reverend Coy Collins and Reverend Paul Smith officiating. Interment followed in the Pine Memorial Cemetery in Blountstown. All arrangements were under the direction of Marlon Peavy at Peavy Funeral Home in Blountstown (ph. 850-674-2266).
