An 86-year-old Bristol man has died from injuries sustained in a four-wheeler accident last week.Joseph Hardy passed away Friday at 1 p.m. at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital.According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Hardy was the driver of a 2007 Honda ATV and was traveling east on a private dirt roadway Wednesday afternoon around 4:44 p.m. The report indicates he had just completed a left turn from the east shoulder of Rockyville Road when the rear tires of the four wheeler began to lose traction on the unmaintained dirt road, causing the ATV to overturn. Hardy was ejected and the four-wheeler landed on top of him. Liberty County EMS, along with the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office, assisted him at the scene with a suspected broken femur bone and severe bleeding. He was airlifted to TMH where he passed away two days later. The crash was investigated by Trooper Jason King.
