A Blountstown man is facing some serious charges in Gadsden County following an alleged shooting Saturday morning. Desmon Antwan Martin, 23, has been charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and shooting into a dwelling. According to the Chattahoochee Police Department, officers responded to a unit in the Flint Garden Apartments at 424 Line Street just after 11 a.m. in reference to a shooting. Michael Terrel Wiley, 20, was reportedly involved in a verbal altercation that turned physical. The incident allegedly ended with Wiley begin shot in the ankle. He identified Martin as the man who shot him. Wiley was transported to an area hospital for treatment. Investigators with the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office tracked down Martin and took him into custody. The Chattahoochee Police Departments says they are investigating a second subject’s involvement in the incident.
