Local artists showcased at Preble-Rish Gallery exhibit

Seven local artists were showcased at the Preble-Rish Gallery Friday night during a special exhibit hosted by the Calhoun County Chamber of Commerce. The event featured paintings and pottery by Janice Adams, Carole Jayne, Anna Layton, Alison Slongo, Janet Cumbaa Taylor, Jana Hill Whitehead, and Carol Yoder. The local art was displayed alongside a portion of the gallery’s permanent exhibit, Apalachicola River: An American Treasure by Clyde Butcher. Guests were treated to a wine and cheese reception. Sponsors included B’s Photo, Inc., Blountstown Drugs, and Danny Ryals Real Estate. The Preble-Rish Gallery is the result of a partnership between the Calhoun County Chamber of Commerce and Preble-Rish, Inc., an engineering and consulting firm that graciously donated space for the gallery.
