Sealed bids will be received by the Calhoun County School Board, 20859 Central Ave. E, Rm G20 Blountstown, FL 32424 until 4:00 p.m. CT, June 24, 2024 for the following:

2006 24’x36’ Portable Modular Building

Each building has an enclosed bathroom (with toilet and sink) and a functional HVAC package unit.

There is a minimum bid of $3000.00 per building.

There should be a bid on each individual item to be purchased.

Bidders are responsible for disassembly/removal of the building(s) from Calhoun County School Board property no later than 30 days from the date that the winning bids are approved by the Board.

Any bid submitted after the specified hour and date will not be opened or considered.  The Board accepts no responsibility for mailed proposals that arrive at the Superintendent’s Office after the above stated time, even though the envelope may reflect a postmark prior to the above date.

The Board reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids.  The decision of the Board will be final.  No bid may be withdrawn by any bidder for a period of thirty (30) days after bids are opened.

NOTICE TO RECEIVE SEALED BIDS

The Calhoun County Board of County Commissioners will receive sealed bids from any qualified person, company or corporation interested in providing construction services for the following project:

CR 69A PAVED SHOULDERS PHASE III

This project consists of the construction of 5’ paved shoulders along both sides of CR 69A from NE Flat Woods Road/CR 194 NE Macedonia Road to Graves Creek.

Plans and specifications can be obtained at Calhoun County BOCC, 20859 Central Avenue East, Blountstown, Florida 32424. (For questions, please call Hunter Flowers at (850) 674-3966 or at hflowers@calhouncountyfl.gov). The bid must conform to Section 287.133(3) Florida Statutes, on public entity crimes.

Completion date for this project will be 150 days from the date of the Notice to Proceed presented to the successful bidder.

All bidders shall be pre-qualified with the Florida Department of Transportation per Section 2-1 of the

F.D.O.T. Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, 2023 edition for: Grading, Drainage and Grassing, Seeding and Sodding.

Liquidated damages for failure to complete the project on the specified date will be set at $2,650.00 per day.

Please indicate on the envelope that this is a sealed bid, for “BID # 2024-03 CR 69A PAVED SHOULDERS PHASE III”.

Bids will be received until 4:00 p.m. (CST), on July 16, 2024, at the Calhoun County Clerk’s Office, Calhoun County Courthouse, 20859 Central Avenue East, Room 130, Blountstown, Florida 32424, and will  be  opened  and  read  aloud  on  July 16,  2024,  at  5:00 p.m. (CST). Cost for Plans and Specifications will be $50.00 per set and is non-refundable. Checks should be made payable to CALHOUN COUNTY BOCC.

For this contract, the lowest responsive bidder will be awarded this contract. All Bids shall remain firm for a period of sixty days after the opening. All bidders shall comply with all applicable State and local laws concerning licensing registration and regulation of contractors doing business to the State of Florida.

RESPONSIBLE VENDOR DETERMINATION

Respondent is hereby notified that Section 287.05701, Florida Statutes, requires that the County may not request documentation of or consider a vendor’s social, political, or ideological interests when determining if the vendor is a responsible vendor.
