Lady Wildcats end exciting season in regional playoffs

The Altha Lady Wildcats ended an exciting season in the first round of regional playoffs last week. It was the first time in seven years the Lady Cats have advanced in volleyball beyond district. “We were just overpowered by a very strong Rocky Bayou team,” says Coach LeAnna Hall. “We finished the season with a 15-12 record and only lose two seniors. We’ve learned so much this season and they’ve put forth so much effort to become a better team. I am proud of them and the progress that they made. Our Seniors, Sharlyn Smith and Christy Simmons, will definitely be missed. However, we have an awesome group of young athletes coming up. It’s with the younger ones that you build your program and I’m excited about our future. We’ll be planning some summer activites to get into some team camps for the JV and Varsity level as well as some individual camps.
