The Blountstown Tigers Beach Volleyball team notched their first win in program history Monday against Sneads. After an 0-2 start to the season the Lady Tigers have found their footing as they continue to learn and improve in this new sport. “I am so excited we have this opportunity for these young ladies to grow and learn. We were able to learn a lot from our first 2 matches against Wakulla and Lincoln. I’ve seen major improvements over the last few weeks as they have gotten more comfortable with the game,” said Coach Summers. Against Sneads the Tigers took the 3-2 lead with pairs 3, 4, and 5 sealing the win. On Wednesday the Tigers took down Liberty County 4-1, winning pairs, 2, 3, 4, and 5 as well as the exhibition game. “This has been a fun experience so far. We have taken on the mantra of “Road Warriors” because all of our games are away. The host schools have been really great and the atmosphere is just fun,” said Coach Summers. The Beach Volleyball team will be in action again after Spring Break traveling to South Walton on the 27th at 3:00 cst, Marianna on the 28th at 3:30 cst, and Wakulla on the 30th at 2:30 cst.
