Hospital slated for May 2025 opening

The new Calhoun Liberty Hospital will have 8 inpatient beds and 3 clinical decision beds in the emergency room (where the patient can spend up to 23 hours in a monitored bed to confirm a diagnosis or while waiting for transfer when a bed becomes available in a tertiary facility). The new facility will be able to offer a full range of therapy services including cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation; mobile services, including a Mobile MRI, nuclear medicine stress tests as well as consultations for cardiology, neurology, oncology, and more through telehealth options with specialists. The facility is slated for its grand opening in May 2025. This is phase 1 of the project. A second floor (phase 2) is planned to bring the hospital back to 25 beds.
