WHAT:
Calhoun Liberty Hospital (CLH) is proud to announce the grand opening of its new 50,000-square-foot facility in Blountstown, Florida. After years of perseverance and collaboration, the new hospital will host a ribbon cutting and open house on July 31, 2025, marking a new chapter in local healthcare, resilience, and recovery following the devastation of Hurricane Michael.

Details:
The new facility will provide enhanced access to critical healthcare services, including 24/7 emergency care, private inpatient rooms, and comprehensive rehabilitation therapy. The ribbon cutting ceremony will take place at 9:00 AM CT, and following the ceremony, the public is invited to tour the facility from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM CT.

This is the only time the public will have access to tour the space before the facility undergoes final inspections. The hospital is tentatively scheduled to begin patient care on August 17, 2025.

The opening of this new hospital marks a significant milestone for the community’s recovery and future, transforming the damage caused by Hurricane Michael into a state-of-the-art healthcare facility designed to serve the area for generations. This investment not only improves healthcare access but also creates job opportunities and drives economic growth in the region.

After suffering severe damage during Hurricane Michael in 2018, the hospital was rebuilt with over $47 million that included federal and state funding.
