The Liberty County wrestling team has two state qualifiers this year. The Regional 1A tournament took place in Wewahitchka over the weekkend where the boys competed for two days and hearts were broken and dreams were made. Only four wrestlers from each weight class can qualify. Sophomore Jay Brown, 2nd time state qualifier regional champ won regional champion at 120 lbs Saturday, and Junior Scout Harr, a 2nd year wrestler placed 4th at 285lbs. Six Wrestlers competed in the event and although only two made it through to state, two wrestlers Keaton Ellis and Hunter Brown were only 2 matches away from qualifying. Senior Mason Geiger, a first year wrestler competed in the regional event also but fell short of making it to state. All the wrestlers left it all on the mat and made their coaches, family and school proud!
