The Blountstown Rotary Club partnered with the Panhandle Pioneer Settlement over the weekend to produce the 25th Annual Goat Day festival at Sam Atkins Park in Calhoun County. The event featured arts, crafts, food, entertainment and, of course, goats! There was goat milk, goat cheese, goat petting and just plain old goat watching throughout the day. Among the highlights of the event were the old fashioned games including the greased pig and chicken chases. Demonstrations of how things were done in days gone by were included in tours of the Settlement. For more scenes from Goat Day, check out this week’s print edition.
