Get “piggy” with education: Carr School receives $2000

Ramsey Piggly Wiggly has a generous program that helps local elementary schools raise big money! Chad Ramsey points out that EVERY elementary school in Calhoun and Liberty counties can participate with each school receiving a cash reward. The winners are chosen by percentage of participation, not the number of students. This way, even the smaller schools have a chance for first place. The program is held each year. Winners for 2012 include Carr School – 1st place with a $2000 reward; W.R. Tolar – 2nd place, $1000; Blountstown Elementary School – 3rd place, $500; and Altha Elementary – 4th place, $250. Get set for next year, local schools, and get “piggy” with education!
