Yesterday afternoon, deputies attempted to make a traffic stop on a Kia Soul stolen out of Augusta, Georgia. While attempting to stop the vehicle, the driver pulled into the Bristol Chevron parking lot and then attempted to flee from deputies. Deputies pursued the vehicle for a very short distance and was able to stop the vehicle on State Road 20, near Johnson Road. The driver of the vehicle was a 13 year old juvenile who was accompanied by four (4) other 13 year old juveniles. All juveniles were runaways and had pickup orders out of Georgia.
The juvenile driver was charged by LCSO for fleeing and eluding and grand theft of a motor vehicle. The front seat passenger was also charged with resisting without violence.
All juveniles were transported to the Juvenile Detention Center in Tallahassee.
