A former Altha School teacher has filed a lawsuit in federal court alleging she was dismissed in retaliation for telling the truth in a previous case involving the same school. Gwen Proper, represented by Attorney Marie Mattox of Tallahassee, is suing the Calhoun County School District, along with Altha Principal Ladona Kelley individually, for damages in excess of $75,000.
