By: Ashley Wagner The FCCLA District Competition was held at the Altha Church of God on Tuesday, December 6. Successfully four out of five who competed will continue to the State Competition in March. Chelsea Murphy received a gold medal for her “Recycle and Redesign” project, and Christian Bay competed in a talent competition in which he played a drum solo and came out with a gold medal. Katie Cox also competed in the talent competition for her singing and received a silver medal. Meagan Mantacon won a silver medal for her “Recycle and Redesign” project. Finally, Kayla Gay won a bronze medal for her “Career Investigation”. Congratulations to all of the students who participated on Tuesday. The next competition will be on January 10 in Bethlehem.
