FCAT SCORES

Calhoun 3rd grade tops state in math. FCAT scores continue to trickle in with Calhoun County third graders ranked top in the state in math and fourth in the state in reading. The state average in 3rd grade math was a mean score of 202. Calhoun County was well above that with a 210 to take first place among Florida public schools. Liberty County fell below state average with a 199. In reading, Calhoun County third graders earned an average mean score of 207, six points higher than the state score of 201. Liberty County fell in at 199. Calhoun County ninth graders earned a 242 in reading, slightly above the state average of 240. Liberty County freshmen fell four points short of the state average with a 236. Tenth graders in Calhoun County scored an impressive 248 in reading, four points higher than the state average of 244. Liberty County sophomores also topped the state average with a 246. The County Record will report more FCAT scores as they become available.
