Father and son among four arrested in meth lab bust

The Liberty/Calhoun Drug Task Force netted four arrests last Wednesday when they busted a Bristol meth lab. Arrested were Scottie Paul Reddick, 37, his son, Anthony Scott Reddick, 19, Nicholas G. Benedetto, 26, and Bridgett Stewart, 43. All were charged with attempted manufacture of methamphetamine, possession of listed chemicals, and trafficking in pseudoephedrine. Anthony Scott Reddick was also charged with possession of meth. According to the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office, Inv. Todd Wheetley and members of the task force served a narcotics search warrant on the Reddicks’ home at 16521 NW CR 379A in Bristol. When they arrived, they spotted Scottie Reddick, along with Benedetto and Stewart, standing at an open shed. Stewart and Benedetto attempted to flee, but were quickly apprehended. A search of the shed turned up pseudoephedrine, solvents, stripped lithium batteries, a drimell tool believed to have been used to strip the batteries, empty pseudoephedrine boxes, digital scales, coffee filters, and muriatic acid. Inside the house, a meth pipe with residue was found in a bedroom occupied by Anthony Scott Reddick, a 17 year old female and an infant child. More items used in the making of meth were found in another bedroom.
