Farm Service Ag Complex dedicated to J.L. McCroan

A ceremony was held last Wednesday morning to dedicate the USDA Farm Service Agency Agriculture Complex in Blountstown to the late J.L. McCroan. For 38 years, McCroan served as County Executive Director. He was a University of Florida graduate, a lifelong cattleman, and was honored with the ASCS state award. In addition to covering Calhoun County, McCroan took over the Farm Service Agencies in Gulf and Franklin counties in the mid 90s. He retired in 1998. His wife, Clara, is shown with their son, Randy, his wife, Treva, grandchildren and relatives during the dedication.
