Early voting begins Monday

Election time is here! The polls officially open at 8 a.m. Monday, August 9, for early voting. All those registered to vote in Calhoun County can make their way to the Supervisor of Elections office in the basement of the courthouse to cast their ballot. Early voting runs from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday, ending at 4 p.m. on Saturday, August 21. The Elections Office advises there will be no voting before 8 a.m. and you must be in line by 4 p.m. to cast a ballot that day. Voters must bring a photo ID such as driver’s license, military ID, public assistance card, or Florida ID card. The primary election is set for Tuesday, August 24, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The general election will be held Tuesday, Nov. 2.
