On the second day of the Major League Baseball Draft, FSU’s Drew Faurot was drafted by the Miami Marlins as the third pick in the fourth round. Faurot hit .307, with 16 home runs and had 51 RBIs for the Seminoles this season. He also had a .981 fielding aver- age at his second base position and earned first team All-ACC honors this season.
Drew is the son of former Blountstown and FSU baseball player Adam Faurot and his wife Christy of Tallahassee. He is also the grandson of Melba and Arthur Faurot of Blountstown.
