Dr. MLK Day events planned

The Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration 2010 committee will be sponsoring a program to celebrate the birthday and life of Dr. King on Monday, Jan. 18.Dr. King’s dream of unity and peace among all Americans, as well as the world, is still yet alive for those who carry the dream of equality and justice for every citizen of this great nation.The MLK Celebration 2010 committee is asking for your participation in this event. This will be the 11th Annual Celebration which will include a march and program. The march will begin at 9 a.m. at Blountstown City Hall and will proceed to St. Mary Missionary Baptist Church on River Street. Both St. Mary M.B. Church, Dr. C.L. Wilson, pastor, and St. Paul A.M.E. Church, Rev. Griffin, will provide church vans for transportation to the W.T. Neal Civic Center for the program immediately after the march.
