Sheriff Michael Bryant, along with the dedicated men and women of the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office, were proud to announce last week, that one of our own, Captain John Scheetz, had graduated from the Florida Sheriffs Association Commanders Academy in Tallahassee. This advanced leadership program gives law enforce- ment leaders the tools they need to succeed. The course covers many topics, including leadership, management skills, legal updates, critical incident command, commu- nity relations, and officer wellness — all designed to pre- pare graduates to lead their teams and serve their com- munities at the highest level. Captain Scheetz was one of 36 leaders from across the state to attend Class 17. On top of that, this class raised over $100,000 for the Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches. Captain Scheetz is the first Calhoun County Deputy to attend this training. Please join us in congratulating Captain Scheetz and all the graduates of Commanders Academy Class 17.
