The Liberty County Softball Team won a high scoring affair Friday over Wewahitchka, 19-6. The Bulldogs got on the scoreboard in the first inning when Gabrie Flowers drove in a run. The Bulldogs put six more runs with singles by Kallen Mercer, Caleigh Peddie, Chesnea Hires and walks by Flowers and and Millie Revell.
Lauren Grantham was the winning pitcher going four innings, allowing three runs on three hits and striking out four. Mercer threw two innings in relief and recorded the last six outs to earn the save. Sister Arnold blasted a homerun for the Bulldogs.
The Bulldogs racked up 20 hits against the Gators. Peddie, Mercer, Cha’Miya Williams, Arnold, Flowers and Hires collecting multiple hits .
