Bulldog Softball improves to 13-6

The Liberty County Softball team has battled its way to a 13-6 record with recnet wins over North Florida Christian, Lake Weir, Creekside and George Jenkins.
On March 24, the Bulldogs easily did away with Lake Weir, 11-1.    Fourth ining singles by Williams, Arnold, and Read and a sacrifice by Flowers plated four runs in the inning.  Williams blasted a home run in the first inning and Bulldogs collected 15 hits in the contest with Arnold,, Williams, Hires and Read all having multiple hits.
Mercer was the winning pitcher for the Bullodgs allowing three hits and striking out eight.
On March 25, the Bulldogs coasted to another easy victory downing George Jenkins,  18-4.    Williams blasted another homer in the first inning to get things started.    The Bulldogs tallied five runs in the sixth led by a single by Williams and home run by Arnold.
Grantham was the winning pitcher for Liberty County.
Also on March 25, the Bulldogs took a 1-2 loss to Creekside.  The pitching was strong on both sides with Williams starting for the Bulldogs and Mercer coming on in relief.  Read, Arnold, and Peddie each managed one hit.
On March 27, the Bulldogs notched another win, defeating North Florida Christian, 10-5.
Liberty County had tweleve hits in the game with Flowers, Peddie, Arnold and Bunkley with multiple hits. Two Bulldogs stole at least two bases.
Mercer got the win on the mound allowing six hits and striking out five.
