Blountstown native is now on Broadway

Ari Groover is a Broadway performer, Artist/DJ that goes by “Ari Grooves”, and choreographer that has been shifting the NYC scene. She has had the luxury to be a part of musicals such as Tina: The Tina Turner Musical (Broadway), “Bare the Musical (Off Broadway), Holler if Ya Hear Me (Broadway), Head Over Heels (Broadway), the Off Broadway revival of “Little Shop Of Horrors”, as Ronnette, earning her a 2020 Lucielle Lortel Nomination for “Best Featured Actress”. Ari is thrilled to be playing the leading lady “Tina” in first National North American Tour of Tina: The Tina Turner Musical! You can catch Ari trending nationally on the news as “The Tina who lost her wig, but kept slaying!” Ari’s passion for music and the arts drove her down the path to DJing and Music Producing. Ari is one third of the creative trifecta called S.N.O.B (Sunday Night On Broadway) with Preston “Duggz” Dugger and    Emily McGill in hopes of providing an underground scene for the Broadway/creative community. Ari has the privilege to DJ at places like The Delancey, Meridian 23, The Living Room, Iron Bar, Solomon and Kuff, Harlem Nights Bar, and Soho House NYC. She has also been the DJ for many Broadway opening night parties and block parties leading her to be the official DJ for the 75th Annual Tony Awards After Party Gala in 2022. Ari also released an album called, “Message From A Wanderer”, and is streaming on all platforms. Stay tuned for what Ari has in store.

She is the daughter of Loris Boyd, a 1975 graduate of Blountstown High School, and the granddaughter of the late Annie Laura Davis. She is the younger sister of Yolanda Gibbs Pittman. The Tina Turner Musical will be in Jacksonville from March 5-10. Ari will perform as Tina on March 5th, 7th, 9th (Matinee), and 10th (Matinee). Tickets can be purchased at
