Blountstown High School’s FCCLA chapter has been busy with their District Competition. The first round of competition started last Tuesday, January 25th, in Altha. Jake Brown placed 1st in the Talent Category where he performed a song that he wrote on his guitar. Cassius Jackson placed 1st in the Career Investigation Category where he presented a portfolio and an oral presentation. On January 27th, FCCLA District Competition continued in Marianna. The FCCLA culinary team consisting of Devan Rouhlac and Caitlyn Stewart (pictured with sponsor Nancy Mears) brought home a silver medal and 1st place. All four students will compete at the state level in Orlando on April 27.FCCLA will finish District Competition on February 15th in Bethlehem. Mrs. Nancy Mears, FCCLA sponsor, will accompany the remaining members to this meeting where they will compete in three categories: Hospitality, Interior Design, and Entrepreneurship
