BHS Tigers off and running to a 3-0 start; Arnold next

The Blountstown Tigers have a ton of talent this year and the first three games against Liberty County (56-3), Bozeman (57-13), and Port St. Joe (60-13) have made that evident. The offensive line is getting better each game, the defense is playing very well and the Tigers are blessed with speed at the runningback and receiver position. Senior Amari Thomas, above photo racing for a 70 yard touchdown against Port St. Joe, has seen limited action in the first three games, yet has rushed for 402 yards on 18 carries and has six touchdowns. Junior Curt Ellis has caught 8 passes for 279 yards and six touch-downs. Quarterback Jayden Jones has completed 16 of 23 passes for 444 yards and nine touchdowns – in three games. Competition should be tougher this week when the Tigers travel to Panama City to face the AAAA Arnold Marlins.
