The Lady Tigers JV and Varsity kicked off the regular season with wins against Marianna. “I’m really excited to see where this season takes both of these teams,” said Coach Summers. With four 8th graders making the JV roster this year, the TIgers are young but never out of any game they play. “I’ve been really impressed with all of these girls so far. The leadership from my 10th graders has set the tone for our younger players.” After losing 10 seniors off last year’s roster, Coach Summers is looking for the 2024 Varsity team to make their own mark. “We are young and don’t return a lot of experience but we are just as athletic. I expect to see us continue to grow and be a much different team at the end of the season than we are now,” said Coach Summers. The Lady Tigers will rely on their players with experience to help lead this young team. “We keep telling both teams the goal is to get better each time we get the opportunity to step on the court. If they do that they will end up where they want to be.” Make sure to catch the Tigers in action this year!
