Area flu cases are back down

After a nasty bout with the swine flu, Calhoun and Liberty counties seem to be back to normal. According to Dr. Eugene Charbonneau, who serves as director of both county health departments, flu cases in all of the schools are down to “normal” levels for this time of year. Health departments are still providing H1N1 vaccines to all individuals over the age of 6 months. “We are very happy to be able to open this up to all groups and ages of people,” says Dr. Charbonneau, adding, “The H1N1 flu is not done yet and may return this spring.”
